InstaSunk

Today, Glenn Reynolds had no blogads.

Has there, accordingly, been a decline in quality there?

Is SiteMeter, as I discuss here, overrated?

UPDATE:THE NEXT DAY:: Silly me. Looks like he was just changing ad services.

My Buddy Carl

For nights and nights and nights he would just sit there and look on the internet and see all these other people going out and having a good time and taking pictures and was jealous but at the same time he didn’t want to go no he didn’t cause he never had fun it was always the same and he had grown quite unfound to people in general. Rarely did you meet anyone that was not giving you the act. He’d figured out that people giving you the act didn’t want to talk to you to begin with by catching himself giving the act to other people sometimes. Then he realized he gave the act to people that he didn’t want anything to do with, and eventually put two and two together and realized that people that gave him the act felt the same. So that was kinda sad but really he didn’t think of none of this much, but it was a thought. At most it could merely build on past disappointments. He just didn’t realize that he hadn’t kept track, or couldn’t.

Back to School

I'm getting comfortable at my new desk and to the right of me I have to look at this?

ANOTHER ROVIAN CONSPIRACY: "Unfortunately, it appears that Chris Matthews didn't pay attention to the above phrase. As reported in the Edmonton Sun, Chris gave one of those "we just need to understand the enemy" speeches (translation: surrender). His statements echo the fringe of the anti-war movement. He and Michael Moore obviously see eye-to-eye on a lot of things."

In other words, this commentator I quote shouldn't be writing.

He generously loses coherency here: "He doesn't also talk about the 10+ years we discussed "what to do about Iraq" after the first invasion."

Chicago

Well, you take a day off from entertaining the cyber folk and you get a big link from a big blogger.

Now unlike Tony, I'm not necessarily an everday poster. Not right now, anyways. You see, I haven't completely broken away from the "professional" world of journalism and commentary because outside of this sphere, in that Sorry State they sometimes call the Real World (I prefer to call it The Actor's Guild), I have to perform everyday. Nevermind what I'm doing there; though a professional journalist/commentator, I assure you that my current "Real World" job favors acting much more than it favors journalism.

But isn't it funny? How the Real World is so fake and how this Internet Reality is so much more true? You hear people talk about how Blogging is for Losers and for people with No Life. I argue that such a reality--an electronic Daydream--is much more healthy and potentially Non-Fictitious than the Post Industrial Age is and has been, at least in many scenes and situations.

You know what I mean.

But Real World Jobs aren't for the Holidays. I'm in the Windy City. Think Breakfast At Tiffany's. Why? Because Sunday I spent the night banging out my boss, a 40ish beauty who I run errands for (I'm a delivery man of sorts) who pays into the thousands for easy jobs and still lets me cum when I come. Well, actually I'm worn out and come to think of it feel more like a prostitute as a matter of fact but she is a sex fiend and bisexual and has a steady girlfriend and you know what that means, she has toys and needs it all. So I'm empty.

I'm also drunk, and consider this one a "travel day," but I had to chime in and give props to you busbloggers.

UPDATE: If I could have made it to the Buzznet meetup (I don't have my own account but I plan on doing that soon), I would have been in the mood for some Stones, and this never disappoints.

$

Dear Church,

I want to thank you for giving me the Wal-Mart $120 gift card. It is from your thoughtfulness and love of the church family--even for members like me, who do not attend anymore and don't believe--that an understanding inside me of love and roots overwhelms my being. I have a new appreciation or understanding of the importance of church inside the human idea of interaction and society.

I acknowledge, and give thanks to, your existence and kind charity.

Terror and Torture

This. You need to watch the History Channel program on this.

Its really good.

When the CIA went in to find out who did it, the guy we got to squeal was, as the CIA agents describe it on the show, forced through "sleep deprivation" and "food deprivation." He was punched. They said it was necessary to get information. He eventually broke down and began talking after a week.

But is it not possible that he started saying shit because he was broken and that his life was, as the agent describes on the show, "in his hands?"

Well duh.

That, folks, is bullshit. And under the circumstances, how convenient he was a part of the Christian faction.

Oh, and now some of the suspects died in their cells. Ouch.

Letter to Blogger

Dear Blogger,

I want to love you. I think you have so much beautiful, beautiful potential. But you scare me blogger. You see, most of the time, you don't work correctly. Today its that you wont let me do things inside Create such as using the link button, and others. Its always something, Blogger.

I don't think I have to go into what you've done to me over time.

You have so much potential. You have the product. But you do not use it wisely.

Let those in my comments help me explain...

I never read blogs that start this way
The new shoes I blogged about... never mind. I’m returning them.

But Blogger might think about picking up on a way to search for reviews of things.

And why can't I search for single ladies in my area on Blogger? Thats a plus of MySpace...

Sucks and Shame

What better way to conduct yourself after Thanksgiving dinner than to go with your sister and cousin to a bar and chase sluts? Thats exactly what I did...well, the chasing sluts part, as usual, happens after many bottles and glasses of alcohol. The particular hoochie I picked up was tall, large, big breasts, not so good looking, etc. She had also previously fucked my cousin only nights ago, who had only been in town from Michigan for the Holiday for 8 days or so. Thats okay for me; I haven't been laid in months.

I started rubbing on her crotch in her truck. She decided we needed a six pack before we headed back to the shack. I paid for that. Then I rubbed on her big breasts as she drove. I remember her saying something about wanting to suck some dick. Then she decided that we just had to go to Waffle House to eat. I wasn't so excited about that. Some big black boys were there. Eventually she went over to talk to them as we waited for the food. She said she was going to pick up some weed for us. She went with one of the black guys, but got her meal in before she left. She left, and I never saw her again. I had to fit the bill, and she took the six pack as well!

Three in the morning, calling my sister for a ride.

Thanksgiving is better than XMas

Tis the season for family and friends and a relaxed state of mind and a sense of the innocence of over-indulgence. Enjoy it now, friends; for soon Christ's birth will be ironically celebrated on the most repulsive commercial and economic activity of the year.

Fuck that.

I'll take dinner with the family. I'll take drinking with the family. I find it ridiculous that we celebrate Jesus on a holiday that pisses family members off over who gets what gifts and the feeling that we have to buy in certain price ranges. She only got you that, and you spent so much on her? He didn't buy anyone anything!

Christmas is a chore, an American economic activity, expected spending from its citizens. With out it, fewer iPods are sold. Fewer pairs of socks. Fewer commercials for toys. Worse stock prices.

We dont give to people because we want to during Xmas. We do it becuase we have to.

I'll take the feast, and be thankful for it.

A Review of the busblog

What is the deal with Tony Pierce? There are many of us that keep up with the blogging lineup, and many of us feel a potentially great writer is being wasted away in his land of taking pictures of a mediocore band from LA and their West Coast tour gigs. Working for Buzznet and taking pictures for a living may get you drunk for a few years but it sure does distract from the talent of writing stories or writing in general. Writing is the skill of Tony. It is a shame that his style and approach to fiction and storytelling has not been picked up by any prominent internet media companies. There is a market for good writing and experimental writing and Tony Pierce cryptical writing on prominent sites. When will reading-based media websites sites--all of them, or any of them--make him an offer to paint on their canvas?

The sooner the better.
